LA Care: Draft Los Angeles County Enrollment Strategy Released for Public Comment

Revised strategy confirms that individuals who opt out of Cal MediConnect will not be passively enrolled at any point into the program.

On Monday, December 9, DHCS re-released the draft Los Angeles County Enrollment Strategy for public comment. All public comments were due to DHCS this Monday, December 16.

Key Highlights
Most importantly, the revised strategy confirms that individuals who opt out of Cal MediConnect will not be passively enrolled at any point into the program. The strategy also indicates that L.A. Care will begin to receive passive enrollment no sooner than December 1, 2014, once the CMS Star Ratings LPI designation is removed.
