Topics discussed include an update on the draft Los Angeles County enrollment strategy and the creation of a stakeholder-led CCI Outreach Workgroup.

On December 12, 2013, L.A. Care and Health Net jointly hosted a Coordinated Care Initiative (CCI) Stakeholder Meeting. The purpose of this meeting was to bring together key stakeholders to discuss policy and programmatic issues related to the CCI.

Her update included an overview of the recently released draft DHCS Los Angeles County Enrollment Strategy and of the DHCS Ombuds Program, which will be in place by the April 1, 2014, start date of Cal MediConnect.  A question-and-answer period followed, during which a range of enrollment, service delivery and other issues were discussed. L.A. Care and Health Net provided updates on their program implementation as well.

Also at this meeting, Amber Cutler, Staff Attorney with the National Senior Citizens Law Center (NSCLC), highlighted the creation of a new stakeholder led communications and outreach workgroup, and provided an update on the CCI advocacy and outreach efforts already underway throughout Los Angeles County.
