NCOA: Mapping Benefits Access Across the States

What does enrollment in core benefits look like in your state? Use this data mapping tool to find out.

How to use this map

First, select whether you want to analyze the full Medicare population or the under- or over-65 population covered by Medicare.

To make the most of the map, you should select a benefit you want to analyze. In the lower left, click the circle of the corresponding benefit. For example, to compare Medicare Savings Programs, you would click on the yellow circle to the left of the chart.

You can select states or regions for analysis and comparison. One option is to use the dropdown menus to the left of the map. You may also click on a state on the map, hold shift and click to select multiple states, or click and drag to select a group of states. You can also filter by population size using the scale to the left of the map. Averages are based on states and benefits selected for analysis.
