Train with us in California! Organizing for Social Change

Hello LAAAC Coalition and supporters,

I attended the Midwest Academy, 5 day training- Organizing for Social Change- back in March 2016. I must say, it was the BEST training to learn about policy, policy advocacy, power, power dynamics, strategy, tactics, campaign strategy, allies, coalition building, and much much more. I highly recommend this training to anyone who needs a foundational understanding in order to advance their advocacy work and strategies. The Midwest Academy will be in Los Angeles, in Sierra Madre, in March 2017. See below.

First, in March, we’ll be in the Los Angeles area for a 5-day Organizing for Social Change Training. This is our flagship training, focused on core organizing skills for developing campaign strategy, building effective coalitions, recruiting members and leaders, and planning effective actions.

Secondly, in July, we will be in Berkeley for a 3-day Supervising Organizers Workshop. This session prepares supervisors to cultivate and develop strategic and relational organizers to win issues and build power for the long haul.

Here are all the details for both sessions:

Organizing for Social Change March 13-17, 2017 At the (beautiful!) Mater Dolorosa Retreat Center Sierra Madre, CA

Supervising Organizers Workshop July 10th – 12th At the Easton Hall Conference Center Berkeley, CA

Hope to see you at a training very soon!
